HEROES ARE AMONG US

Hailed by critics as 'the new Lost', HEROES has racked up over 15 million viewers per week on our American sister channel, NBC. Everybody over here wanted it, but only one channel got the exclusive UK premiere — that's SCI FI. And now we're bringing it to you!

As a total eclipse casts its shadow across the globe, a genetics professor in India uncovers a secret theory – there are people with super powers living among us. Amongst these are a high school cheerleader (HAYDEN PANETTIERE) who learns that she is totally indestructible; a gifted artist (SANTIAGO CABRERA) whose drug addiction enables him to paint the future; a young man (MASI OKA) who develops a way to stop time through sheer will power; and a single-mother stripper (ALI LARTER) who learns that she has an alternate personality with homicidal tendencies. In Los Angeles, a jaded cop (GREG GRUNBERG) discovers that he can hear people's thoughts, a revelation which puts him on the trail of an elusive and sadistic serial killer (ZACHARY QUINTO). Follow their lives week-by-week and discover their startling destiny.

HEROES is from creator/writer Tim Kring executive producers Dennis Hammer and Allan Arkush (all of "Crossing Jordan"). David Semel ("House") executive-produced and directed the pilot. The drama is produced by NBC Universal Television Studio.
