EPISODE TWENTY-ONE: THE HARD PART

WARNING! POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Sylar, still painting, realises he might be the cause of the explosion. Confused, seeking help, he goes to his mother. Mohinder teams up with HRG's boss, Thomson, who introduces him to Molly, the little girl Matt saved way back in Don't Look Back. She has an incredible power – the ability to locate anyone, precisely, no Matter who or where they are. It is being inhibited, however, by a rare disease – the very same one that killed Mohinder's sister. Can he cure her?

Hiro and Ando hunt out Sylar, trying to pluck up the courage to finish him off, while Peter tries to convince Claire to stay in New York. Sylar has an awkward reunion with his mother. He reveals some of his powers, delighting then ultimately scaring and injuring her, as Hiro and Ando look on. She attacks Sylar with a pair of scissors and is accidentally stabbed and killed. Hiro freezes time and prepares his sword, but his concentration falters and Sylar fights back, forcing him to teleport away, breaking the sword in the proces.

Micah attempts to escape, but Candice uses her powers to disorientate and trap him, while Mohinder makes a breakthrough with Molly, and Peter and Claire go looking for Ted. They find him in Kirby Plaza, and he's with HRG and Matt too.

By this point, Sylar has really lost it, painting an apocalyptic vision of New York with his own mother's blood... This does not bode well.
