Niki and her son Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey) readjust to the sudden reappearance of his father DL (Leonard Roberts), who has returned home after escaping from jail. Policeman Matt has home issues too, but grabs hold of his chance to prove himself at work with both hands. The case of Sylar is far from conventional, however, when the prime suspect turns out to display bizarre, destructive powers of his own.

Hiro’s idealistic point of view becomes wobbly as he questions his own heroism, while the borderline-villainous Nathan strategizes how to win the congressional election with his wife, Heidi (guest star Rena Sofer). Claire finds out where her incriminating video tape disappeared to, while her father HRG (Horn-Rimmed Glasses) is disturbed by news from one of his associates.
