Claire's father has always been a mysterious figure, and there's certainly a lot more going on at that paper factory than he's letting on. He's certainly been involved in tracking 'gifted' individuals for quite some time, and he knows more about Claire's true nature than she realises, but his agenda is disturbingly vague.
What we do know is that protecting his daughter is more important to him than anything in the world. What we don't know is exactly how far he'll go, and what (or who) he'll sacrifice, in the process...
